Disney has announced the first major new addition to Disney+ trial in the Netherlands, Captain Marvel. It will be available on October 13th 2019.

The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, Captain Marvel is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This will no doubt be a test to see how the App handles a new addition and to test the servers on how users start watching a single title in high numbers.   Disney+ is available early in the Netherlands to allow Disney to test the app with a large number of public users.

Captain Marvel will be available when Disney+ launches in the US and Canada on November 12th.
