20th Century Studios is developing a reboot of “White Men Can’t Jump” and according to Deadline, Calmatic is going to be directing the film.

The original 1992 film starred Wesley Snipes and Woody Harrelson, who play an unlikely pair of basketball hustlers. They team up to con their way across the courts of Los Angeles, playing a game that’s fast dangerous – and funny.

Calmatic has recently finished directing a reboot of “House Party” for New Line and he has previously worked on a number of music videos for articles such as Pharrell, Lil Nas X’s, Zayn, and Khalid.

The new film is being written by Kenya Barris and Doug Hall, with Barris also producing the film.  E. Brian Dobbins, Blake Griffin, Ryan Kalil and Noah Weinstein are also involved in the project as executive producers.

The original film is also available to watch on Disney+ internationally and is currently available on Starz in the US.
