During the Walt Disney Companies quarterly investors conference call, CEO Bob Iger spoke about the upcoming Marvel shows coming to Disney+:

Many of you probably saw our Super Bowl spot featuring three original new Marvel series for Disney+: Loki, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which will premiere on the service in August, and WandaVision, which will debut in December. These same characters and actors from the Marvel cinematic universe along with events from these new shows will factor into future Marvel films as we integrate storytelling across these platforms, all under the Marvel Studio banner.

And later in the conference call, he said:

We have the three Marvel series that were announced and I think there are seven other Marvel series that are in varying stages of development or pre-production.

This comment has many Marvel fans excited about there being 10 Marvel series in development for Disney+, leading many to speculate on the other shows he is talking about, since Disney has announced 8 new live action and animated series for Disney+, including:

  • Loki
  • WandaVision
  • Falcon and the Winter Soldier
  • What If (Animated)
  • Hawkeye
  • Moon Knight
  • She-Hulk
  • Ms Marvel

This leaves 2 series unaccounted for, so while it’s very possible that Disney has a couple more high quality Marvel scripted drama series in early development, there have been two other Marvel shows that have been previously announced for Disney+, which are documentaries, which Bob Iger could be referring to:

And while not technically Disney+ series, Marvel has also been working on a number of series for Hulu including:

  • Helstrom
  • M.O.D.A.K
  • Hit Monkey

Disney no doubt has lots more Marvel shows planned for Disney+ in the future, with many rumored series including Power Pack, Secret Invasion, Ghost Rider, Daredevil and pretty much any team or character from the Marvel comic books is a potential Disney+ series.

Right now, we’ve just got to wait and see, but with 10 marvel series coming to Disney+ in the future, there is plenty to look forward to.   And the list above is only going to cover new Marvel series until 2022!

What Marvel shows would you like to see on Disney+?
