This November, the next instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, arrives in cinemas on 11th November 2022.

In the film, ” Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira) and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda.

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” introduces Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena and Alex Livanalli.


When Is “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Released?

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is being released exclusively in cinemas on 11th November 2022, before it will be released on Disney+ and digital formats, followed by physical home video formats like DVD/Blu-Ray/4K at a later date.


When Will “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Be On Disney+?

While Disney has sped up the amount of time it takes for films to be released in cinemas before arriving on Disney+, it is still taking each film’s release on a case-by-case basis, depending on how well the film is doing at the box office. The more successful the film is at the box office, the longer the release to Disney+ will take.

If we take a look at the most recent Marvel movie releases to compare:

  • “Thor: Love & Thunder” took 64 days from its theatrical release to arrive on Disney+ on Disney+ Day 2022.
  • “Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness” took 47 days from its theatrical release to Disney+
  • “Eternals” took 68 days from its theatrical release to Disney+
  • “Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings” took 70 days to be released on Disney+.  This release also tied in with Disney+ Day 2021.

Disney has recently announced through the films holding page, that “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” will arrive on Disney+ on Wednesday, 1st February 2023.  Which means it has taken 83 days to go from a theatrical release to Disney+

 


Is “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Coming To Disney+ Premier Access?

Disney has confirmed that following the release of “Jungle Cruise”, it won’t be using Disney+ Premier Access, instead offering selected movies exclusively in cinemas first.

 


What Time Will “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” Be Released On Disney+

Disney+ updates daily at the following times:

  • Pacific Time: 00:00 AM / Midnight
  • Eastern Time: 03:00 AM
  • UK: 08:00 AM
  • Sydney, Australia – 19:00 PM

Sometimes content can arrive a few minutes later as the servers update. The Disney+ front page usually updates about an hour later.


Is “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” on Netflix?

“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” is created by Marvel Studios, and Disney doesn’t license out its new films to other streaming services. So it won’t be available on any other streaming services like Netflix, HBO Max, Amazon or Hulu.
