During this week’s ABC presentation at the TCA Summer Press Tour, Disney released a new teaser trailer for the second season of “Big Sky” and announced that fan favorite John Carroll Lynch will be returning for season two, but it’s not known in what capacity he will be returning.

Also, during the conference, it was confirmed that Janina Gavankar (“Sleepy Hollow,” “The Mysteries of Laura”) and Logan Marshall-Green (“How It Ends,” “Spiderman: Homecoming”), have joined the show.

When private detectives Cassie Dewell and Jenny Hoyt reunite to investigate a car wreck outside of Helena, Montana, they soon discover that the case may not be as straightforward as it seems. As they unravel the mystery of the accident, their worlds will collide with a band of unsuspecting teens, a flirtatious face from Jenny’s past, and a vicious outsider hellbent on finding answers. “Big Sky” is based on the series of books by C.J. Box and starring Kylie Bunbury and Katheryn Winnick,

Season two of “Big Sky” premieres on ABC on Thursday 30th September (10:01-11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC, with new episodes available the next day on Hulu.  “Big Sky” is a Star Original on Disney+ in many countries, including the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand. However, no release date has yet been announced for when the show will return on Disney+.


“Big Sky” is executive produced by David E. Kelley, Elwood Reid and Ross Fineman, and is produced by 20th Television in association with A+E Studios. 20th Television is a part of Disney Television Studios.

The first season of “Big Sky” is available on Disney+ in many countries and on Hulu in the United States.
