There are lots of great new Star Originals coming to Disney+ in October which include new episodes of “Y: The Last Man”, “American Horror Stories” and “Only Murders In The Building”.
Unlike Disney+ Originals, the availability of Star Originals can vary between countries due to pre-existing streaming contracts. These are also usually available on Hulu in the United States and will be coming to Star+ in Latin America.
Here’s a look at some of the “Star Originals” coming in October:
Only Murders In The Building
From the minds of Steve Martin, Dan Fogelman and John Hoffman, “Only Murders In The Building” follows three strangers (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves wrapped up in one. When a grisly death occurs inside their exclusive Upper West Side apartment building, the trio suspects murder and employs their precise knowledge of true crime to investigate the truth. As they record a podcast of their own to document the case, the three unravel the complex secrets of the building which stretch back years. Perhaps even more explosive are the lies they tell one another. Soon, the endangered trio comes to realize a killer might be living amongst them as they race to decipher the mounting clues before it’s too late.
New episodes are released every Tuesday.
Y- The Last Man
Based on DC Comics’ acclaimed series by Brian K. Vaughan and Pia Guerra, the drama “Y: The Last Man” traverses a post-apocalyptic world in which a cataclysmic event decimates every mammal with a Y chromosome but for one cisgender man and his pet monkey. The series follows the survivors in this new world as they struggle with their efforts to restore what was lost and build something better.
New episodes are streaming every Wednesday throughout October.
The Walking Dead – Season 11
In the wake of a zombie apocalypse, various survivors struggle to stay alive. As they search for safety and evade the undead, they are forced to grapple with rival groups and difficult choices.
The last two episodes from the first batch of episodes are released on Disney+ on the first two Monday’s in October.
Among The Stars
A six-part docuseries with fly on the wall access into the wider world of NASA, with cameras on Earth and in space. NASA astronaut Captain Chris Cassidy is on a quest to get back in his spacesuit for one last mission. This series follows Chris and the wider team who take on missions that risk life, limb and reputation for the greater good of humankind. Join them as their missions unfold.
This new documentary series will arrive on Disney+ on Wednesday 6th October.
Marvel’s Studios What If
Marvel Studios’ “What If…?,” showcasing the compelling series that reimagines famous events from films in the MCU. Creating a multiverse of infinite possibilities, “What If… ?” features fan-favorite characters, including Peggy Carter, T’Challa, Doctor Strange, Killmonger, Thor and more.
The final episode of the first season of Marvel’s What If is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 6th October.
All eight episodes of the supernatural anthology series “Just Beyond” will premiere on Disney+ and is inspired by the writings of R.L. Stine, the series tells astonishing and thought-provoking stories of a reality just beyond the one we know. Each episode introduces viewers to a new cast of characters who must go on a surprising journey of self-discovery in a supernatural world of witches, aliens, ghosts and parallel universe.
“Just Beyond” is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 13th August.
Turner & Hooch
When an ambitious, buttoned-up US Marshal inherits a big unruly dog, he soon realizes the dog he didn’t want may be the partner he needs. “Turner & Hooch” stars Josh Peck as Scott Turner, son of Detective Scott Turner portrayed by Tom Hanks in the 1989 film of the same name. The series also stars Carra Patterson as Jessica Baxter, Scott’s brave, street-smart partner; Brandon Jay McLaren as Xavier Wilson, a cool, enigmatic marine-turned-US Marshal; Anthony Ruivivar as Chief James Mendez, Scott’s boss with a secret soft spot for Scott’s new dog, Hooch; Lyndsy Fonseca as Laura Turner, Scott’s sweet, animal-loving sister; Jeremy Maguire as Matthew Garland, Laura’s dog-loving son; and Vanessa Lengies as Erica Mouniere, the quirky head of the US Marshals dog training program. Five French Mastiffs also star as Hooch, Scott’s slobbery, loveable French Mastiff.
The final episode of “Turner & Hooch” is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 6th October.
Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.
“Doogie Kamealoha, M.D.” – a coming-of-age dramedy inspired by the hit medical series “Doogie Howser, M.D.” – follows Lahela “Doogie” Kamealoha, a 16-year-old prodigy juggling a budding medical career and life as a teenager. With the support of her caring and comical ‘ohana (family) and friends, Lahela is determined to make the most of her teenage years and forge her own path.
Guiding Lahela (and also complicating things) is her career-driven mother Dr. Clara Hannon who’s also her supervisor at the hospital, her doting father Benny who helps keep her connected to what matters most, her free-spirited older brother Kai, her gregarious younger brother Brian Patrick, her best friend Steph, her surfer crush Walter and her fellow hospital colleagues, Dr. Lee, Charles and Noelani.

American Horror Story: Double Feature
American Horror Story is an anthology horror drama series created and produced by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk. This season is split into two different stories. A struggling writer, his pregnant wife, and their daughter move to an isolated beach town for the winter. Once they’re settled in, the town’s true residents begin to make themselves known.
New episodes are being released on Disney+ every Wednesday from 20th October.
The Great North
Following the Alaskan adventures of the Tobin family, as a single dad, Beef, does his best to keep his weird bunch of kids close — especially his only daughter, Judy, whose artistic dreams lead her away from the family fishing boat and into the glamorous world of the local mall. Rounding out the family are Judy’s older brother, Wolf, and his fiancé, Honeybee, her middle brother, Ham, and 10-year-old-going-on-50 little brother, Moon. While their mother is not in the picture, Judy seeks guidance from her new boss, Alyson, and her imaginary friend, Alanis Morissette, who appears to her in the northern lights.

The first two episodes are coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 13th October, with new episodes being released every Wednesday afterwards.
Chip ‘N’ Dale: Park Life
Dale makes a serious mistake when he steals the wrong dog’s chestnuts. / Chip meets his match in the baby enclosure on the wild, wild west side of the park. / Chip and Dale have always been joined at the hip but now they actually are!

American Horror Stories
American Horror Stories is a spin-off of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s award-winning hit anthology series American Horror Story. American Horror Stories is a weekly anthology series that will feature a different horror story each episode.
