July will see a number of new series arrive onto Disney+ in the United Kingdom and Ireland, and I’ve picked out some of the best series coming to Disney+ in the United Kingdom. There are three new brand Disney+ Original series starting up on Disney+ in July, along with many other Disney+ and Star Originals continuing throughout the month.

Loki

“Loki” features the God of Mischief as he steps out of his brother’s shadow in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.” Tom Hiddleston returns as the title character, joined by Owen Wilson, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku and Richard E. Grant. Kate Herron directs “Loki,” and Michael Waldron is head writer.


The last three episodes of “Loki” will be coming to Disney+ every Wednesday during July.


The Mysterious Benedict Society

Placed undercover at a boarding school known as The Institute, a group of orphans must foil a nefarious plot with global ramifications while creating a new sort of family along the way. Based on the bestseller by Trenton Lee Stewart which Time Magazine called “one of the best young adult books of all time,”The Mysterious Benedict Society” stars Emmy® Award winner Tony Hale in the titular role and features a standout ensemble of young actors.

Monsters At Work

“Monsters At Work” takes place the day after the Monsters, Incorporated power plant started harvesting the laughter of children to fuel the city of Monstropolis, thanks to Mike and Sulley’s discovery that laughter generates ten times more energy than screams. It follows the story of Tylor Tuskmon, an eager young monster who graduated top of his class at Monsters University and always dreamed of becoming a Scarer, until he lands a job at Monsters, Incorporated and discovers that scaring is out and laughter is in.

Ben Feldman stars as the voice of Tylor Tuskmon in the series, which introduces new monster characters alongside returning favorites, including Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal) and James P. “Sulley” Sullivan (John Goodman). Starring alongside Feldman as part of the MIFT crew are: Henry Winkler as Fritz, the scatterbrained boss; Lucas Neff as Duncan, an opportunistic plumber; and Alanna Ubach as Cutter, the officious rule follower.

In addition to Crystal and Goodman, returning cast members from the original movies include John Ratzenberger as Yeti and Tylor’s dad, Bernard; Jennifer Tilly as Celia Mae; and Bob Peterson as Roze, twin sister to his original Monsters, Inc. character, Roz. Voicing additional characters are Stephen Stanton as Smitty and Needleman, the bumbling custodial team at Monsters, Inc., and Aisha Tyler as Tylor’s mom, Millie Tuskmon.

New episodes will be released onto Disney+ every Wednesday from July 7th.



Turner & Hooch

When an ambitious, buttoned-up US Marshal inherits a big unruly dog, he soon realizes the dog he didn’t want may be the partner he needs. “Turner & Hooch” stars Josh Peck as Scott Turner, son of Detective Scott Turner portrayed by Tom Hanks in the 1989 film of the same name.

The series also stars Carra Patterson as Jessica Baxter, Scott’s brave, street-smart partner; Brandon Jay McLaren as Xavier Wilson, a cool, enigmatic marine-turned-US Marshal; Anthony Ruivivar as Chief James Mendez, Scott’s boss with a secret soft spot for Scott’s new dog, Hooch; Lyndsy Fonseca as Laura Turner, Scott’s sweet, animal-loving sister; Jeremy Maguire as Matthew Garland, Laura’s dog-loving son; and Vanessa Lengies as Erica Mouniere, the quirky head of the US Marshals dog training program. Five French Mastiffs also star as Hooch, Scott’s slobbery, loveable French Mastiff.

The first episode of Turner & Hooch arrives on Disney+ on Wednesday 21st July and new episodes will be released every Wednesday afterwards.


High School Musical: The Musical – The Series – Season 2

In season two of “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,” the East High Wildcats, who are preparing to perform “Beauty and the Beast” as their spring musical, face off against rival school North High to win a prestigious and cutthroat student theater competition. Wigs are snatched, loyalties are tested, and ballads are belted.

Behind the Attraction

Peek beyond the magic of Disney Parks to discover what’s Behind the Attraction! From Executive Producers Dwayne Johnson, Dany Garcia and Brian Volk-Weiss, explore how Imagineers filled the Haunted Mansion with 999 happy haunts, how the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror™ transformed into Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! (while defying gravity in the process) and why Space Mountain took so long to launch. From the 1950s to today, from Jungle Cruise to “it’s a small world” to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disney Parks attractions have amazed millions. And this is the story of how they did it.

All 10 episodes will be released on Wednesday 21st July


Turning the Tables with Robin Roberts

Get personal with Robin Roberts and some of Hollywood’s groundbreaking women as they bear witness to their incredible journeys on their path to purpose. Each episode is a profound conversation filled with emotion and inspiration. Listen to never-before-heard stories of how these groundbreakers came face-to-face with their vulnerability, authenticity and intuition. Discover their commonalities and learn how their stories and experiences created room for expansion and evolution.


All four episodes will arrive at once on Wednesday 28th July.


Star Wars – The Bad Batch

“Star Wars: The Bad Batch” follows the elite and experimental clones of the Bad Batch (first introduced in “The Clone Wars”) as they find their way in a rapidly changing galaxy in the immediate aftermath of the Clone War. Members of Bad Batch—a unique squad of clones who vary genetically from their brothers in the Clone Army – each possess a singular exceptional skill that makes them extraordinarily effective soldiers and a formidable crew.

New episodes will be released on Disney+ throughout July.


Chip ‘N’ Dale: Park Life

Dale makes a serious mistake when he steals the wrong dog’s chestnuts. / Chip meets his match in the baby enclosure on the wild, wild west side of the park. / Chip and Dale have always been joined at the hip but now they actually are!

The first episode will be released on Disney+ on Wednesday 28th July.



The Wonderful World Of Mickey Mouse – Batch 2

In “The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse,” it’s nothing but fun and excitement for Mickey and his best pals – Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Pluto – as they embark on their greatest adventures yet, navigating the curveballs of a wild and zany world where the magic of Disney makes the impossible possible. Each seven-minute short is filled with laugh-out-loud comedy, modern settings, timeless stories, new music and the unmistakable classic art style of the “Mickey Mouse” shorts. The series will include stories inspired by various lands at Disney parks and cameos by classic Disney heritage characters.

The first two episodes from the second batch will arrive on Wednesday 28th July.


War Of The Worlds – Season 2

In present-day Europe, astronomers detect a transmission from another galaxy and the world waits for further contact, within days of the transmission mankind is all but wiped out by a devastating attack. There are pockets of humanity left in the eerily deserted world and the survivors must avoid and escape the aliens bent on destroying them and everything they hold dear. Based on the timeless story by H.G. Wells.

New episodes will be released every Friday from the 16th of July.


Race To The Center Of The Earth – Season 1

Four teams located in different parts of the world face a rigorous journey to be the first to reach the centre of the planet found in the middle of an ocean.


The entire first season is coming to Disney+ on Wednesday 14th July.


Love Victor – Season 2

The popular teen dramedy returns as season two finds a newly out-of-the-closet Victor entering his junior year at Creekwood High. But being out brings with it new challenges as Victor faces a family struggling with his revelation, a heartbroken ex-girlfriend in Mia, and the difficulties of being an openly gay star athlete — all while navigating the excitement of his relationship with Benji.

New episodes from the second season of “Love, Victor” will be released every Friday throughout July.


M.O.D.O.K

While pursuing his dream of conquering the world, a megalomaniacal supervillain runs his evil organization into the ground.

New episodes will be released every Friday throughout July.



Big Sky

Storyteller David E. Kelly (“Big Little Lies”) presents a series about private detectives Cassie Dewell and Cody Hoyt, who join forces with Cody’s estranged wife and ex-cop, Jenny Hoyt, to search for two sisters who have been kidnapped by a truck driver on a remote highway in Montana. When they discover that these are not the only girls who have disappeared in the area, they must race against the clock to stop the killer before another woman is taken. Based on the series of books by C.J. Box, the series stars Katheryn Winnick, Kylie Bunbury and Ryan Phillippe.

The finale of Big Sky will be released onto Disney+ on the first Friday in July.


The Gloaming

When a woman is murdered, troubled cop Molly McGee discovers a link to a 20-year-old cold case.

New episodes will be dropping onto Disney+ in the UK and Ireland every Friday throughout July.


Grown-ish – Season 3

A contemporary take on the current issues facing both students and administrators in the world of higher education. Yara Shahidi portrays Zoey – Dre (Anthony Anderson) and Rainbow’s (Tracee Ellis Ross) popular, entitled, stylish and socially active 17-year-old daughter — as she heads off to college and quickly discovers that not everything goes her way once she leaves the nest. Yara is joined by ”black-ish”’s Deon Cole (Charlie) who portrays Charlie, Dre’s eccentric and unpredictable co-worker at Stevens & Lido. Zoey runs into Charlie during college orientation where she learns that he moonlights as an adjunct marketing professor. Arlook will portray Miriam, a freshman know-it-all at Southern California University with a no-holds-barred attitude. Parnell will portray the dean of Southern California University, and Jackson will portray a socially conscious sophomore at Southern California University.


New episodes are dropping weekly throughout July.


Rebel

Inspired by the life of Erin Brockovich today, Annie “Rebel” Bello is a blue-collar legal advocate without a law degree. She’s a funny, messy, brilliant and fearless woman who cares desperately about the causes she fights for and the people she loves. When Rebel applies herself to a fight she believes in, she will win at almost any cost.

Amphibia – Season 2

Disney’s animated series chronicles the adventures of independent and fearless teen Anne Boonchuy after she is magically transported to a rural marshland full of frog people. There, Anne meets the excitable young frog Sprig Plantar; unpredictable pollywog Polly Plantar, the youngest member of the Plantar family; and overprotective and traditional grandfather Hop Pop. Stuck in this fantastical world of amphibians, Anne quickly bonds with the adventurous Sprig and discovers the true meaning of friendship.

The whole of the second season will arrive on Disney+ on Wednesday 28th July.


Last Man Standing – Seasons 1 – 8

Mike Baxter, a marketing director of an outdoor sporting goods store, tries taking charge of his family that is dominated by the women of the house.

New episodes from season 9 will be coming to Disney+ weekly from Wednesday 28th July


American Dad – Season 17

Smith’s family consists of four members which include a freaky goldfish that has the mind of a German football player and an alien. Smith, along with the CIA, tries to save America from every threat.

New episodes of American Dad will be released on Disney+ every Wednesday in July.


White House Farm

The true story of one night in August 1985, when five members of the same family were murdered at an Essex farmhouse. Extensive research, interviews and published accounts provide fresh insight into the tragic events and the following investigation.


This British murder series will arrive on Disney+ on Wednesday 28th July.


The Walking Dead (Seasons 1 – 10)

In the wake of a zombie apocalypse, various survivors struggle to stay alive. As they search for safety and evade the undead, they are forced to grapple with rival groups and difficult choices.

All ten seasons of “The Walking Dead” will be coming to Disney+ on July 2nd.


Disney Junior T.O.T.S. (S2)

A penguin and a flamingo respectively work at the Tiny Ones Transport Service, where they deliver newborn baby animals and birds to their parents.

New episodes of T.O.T.S arrives on Disney+ on Friday 16th July.



Good Trouble (Seasons 1 & 2)

“Good Trouble” follows Callie and Mariana as they embark on the next adventure in their lives in Los Angeles. Mariana tackles the male-dominated world of tech, and Callie faces the harsh realities of the legal system as she clerks for a federal judge. After moving to The Coterie in downtown Los Angeles, Callie and Mariana realize that living on their own is not all it’s cracked up to be. Although they have new neighbors, new romances, and new challenges, the sisters must rely on each other to navigate the City of Angels.

Seasons 1 & 2 will be released on Disney+ on Friday 23rd July


 

The Golden Girls – Seasons 1 – 7

Four Southern Florida seniors share a house, their dreams, and a whole lot of cheesecake. Bright, promiscuous, clueless and hilarious, these lovely, mismatched ladies form the perfect circle of friends.

All seven seasons of “The Golden Girls” will arrive on Disney+ on Friday 2nd July.



Meet Spidey And His Amazing Friends – (Shorts) (S1)

Our favourite neighbourhood web-slinger is used to working solo, but now Peter Parker must discover what it takes to become a truly amazing superhero: being a spider friend who works well with others. Together with his friends Miles Morales and Gwen AKA Ghost-Spider, they will team up with heroes such as Hulk, Black Panther and Ms. Marvel, to defeat evil foes and learn that teamwork is the best way to save the day.


This series of shorts will be coming to Disney+ on Friday 16th July.


9-1-1: Lone Star

Captain Stand, a firefighter from New York, moves to Austin, Texas, where he must help people and perform his duties diligently while trying to deal with his own problems.

The first season of Lone Star will be added to Disney+ on Friday 9th July


The Accident

A close-knit community in a small Welsh town is hopeful of a better and more prosperous future when a large construction project is planned in the area. But when a terrible explosion rips through the site, killing many — including children — the accident devastates the community. The immediate loss of loved ones is heartbreaking, but the community also feels its sense of hope vanish in the aftermath. The daughter of the local politician who pushed for the construction work is left with a permanent disability, a visible sign of the grief and rage that threatens to tear the town apart.

This British series will be added to Disney+ on Friday 9th July


Kiri

Social worker Miriam arranges an unsupervised visit for young Kiri with her birth grandfather and his second wife, before her foster family officially adopts her. During the visit Kiri goes missing.

National Treasure

National Treasure’ is a four-part drama written by BAFTA-award winning writer Jack Thorne, starring Robbie Coltrane, Julie Walters, Andrea Riseborough and Tim McInnerny. The story follows Paul Finchley, an adored ageing comedian. Paul’s career, as one half of a comedy duo, was a successful one, lasting over several decades. Though no longer appearing regularly on television the comedian is still often recognised in public and fans ask him to repeat his famous catchphrase. However when a rape case is opened against him, his world falls apart as he stands accused of a sexual offence dating back to the 1990s.

National Treasure will be added to Disney+ on Friday 9th July


Baptiste S1

Tchéky Karyo reprises his role from `The Missing’ as never-quite-retired detective Julien Baptiste. Julien is in Amsterdam, staying with his wife, daughter and son-in-law after the birth of his daughter’s first child. Feeling restless and in the way, Julien gets out of the house and meets with an old flame who also happens to be Amsterdam’s chief of police, and who has a job for him: to help track down missing woman Natalie. Julien meets with Natalie’s uncle, Englishman Edward Stratton, and they begin a search that quickly uncovers more questions than answers. Delving into the depths of Amsterdam’s dark underworld, Julien finds himself and his family drawn into a mystery that is deeper and more dangerous than he could have realised.

This British series will be coming to Disney+ on July 2nd.
