The battle between the streaming services isn’t all about who can get the most subscribers or offer the latest hit show, it’s also about putting together the best team for the job, which sometimes involves talent switching sides.

After Apple announced its own streaming service, Apple TV+, its been reported by Bloomberg that they’ve hired Chiara Cipriani, who will act as the director of Video Services at Apple.

Her previous role at Disney was Vice President Of Disney+ International, which she started in October 2018 until this May.

Before that job, she worked as the General Manager of Disney’s Digital Direct to Consumer, which includes DisneyLife, the streaming service offered to British and Irish viewers, which has been a test for Disney’s new strategy.  She also has held many other digital roles within Disney.

This hiring will give Apple great insight into building and managing a streaming service.  It also shows how the competition between the streaming services is getting more fierce.
