Disney has a long history of working with actors on a repetitive basis. They work together and form bonds that lead to these actors later being recognized as Disney legends. Many of these actors have amazing film and television catalogs that are loved by a wide variety of audiences. Let’s take a look back at some of the great films and series on Disney+ featured Disney legend, Tim Allen.

8. CARS

“Cars” is not actually a Tim Allen film but he does make a cameo at the end of the film. In the early days of Pixar, the company would put bloopers at the end of the film. In this one, Mack is seen watching Cars versions of previous Pixar films. Tim Allen makes an appearance as the voice of the Buzz Lightyear car. It’s a blink and you’ll miss it seen during the credits, but he still appears.

7. RALPH BREAKS THE INTERNET

Another film that features a Tim Allen cameo is “Ralph Breaks the Internet.” His voice can be heard saying “To infinity… and beyond!” when Vanellope enters the Oh My Disney section of the internet. It’s an archived voice, but still a credited appearance.

6. BEYOND INFINITY: BUZZ AND THE JOURNEY TO LIGHTYEAR

This documentary released in the run-up to Pixar’s latest feature-length film, “Lightyear,” brings the “Toy Story” character Tim Allen immortalized into the forefront. It looks at the character’s origins, Tim Allen’s voice efforts and the decision to make a movie about the man who inspired the character.

5. THE PIXAR STORY

This documentary from 2007 takes a look at Pixar as a whole and how it came to be one of the leaders in animation. As the voice of one of the central characters in Pixar’s first feature-length film, “Toy Story,” Allen is interviewed about his contributions to the company’s success.

4. CHIMPANZEE

Tim Allen narrates this documentary from DisneyNature. The film focuses on a family of chimps living in the rain forests of Uganda and the Ivory Coast.

3. JUNGLE 2 JUNGLE

Tim Allen stars as a man seeking his soon-to-be ex-wife to get her to sign divorce papers and comes back with a son he never knew he had. Along the way, he teaches his son the ways of the world, especially the concrete jungle of New York City, before returning his son to the island nation he was born.

2. THE SANTA CLAUSE (FILMS AND SERIES)

Easily one the two most popular film series from Disney Tim Allen has appeared in. He stars as Scott Calvin, a man who replaces Santa Claus. It leads to a better relationship with his son, two sequel films involving a marriage clause and an escape clause, and a Disney+ Original series that looks at his life as he’s ready to retire and has already been renewed for a second season.

1. TOY STORY (FILMS, SPECIALS AND SHORTS)

And the film that launched Pixar, and its subsequent sequels, specials and shorts, and easily my pick for the best Tim Allen productions on Disney+. “Toy Story” remains a classic. “Toy Story 2” is better than the original, in my opinion. “Toy Story 3” was an excellent conclusion to the stories featuring Andy. And there are a  lot of other specials, shorts and even one more feature-length film for fans to watch and enjoy.

There are a few other Tim Allen projects that currently aren’t on Disney+. Those include “The Shaggy Dog” remake and his hit series “Last Man Standing,” which originally aired on ABC before moving to Fox. And no Tim Allen list would be complete without mentioning his most popular television series “Home Improvement” which is currently on Hulu in the US but not available on Disney+. Hopefully we’ll see these added to the service in the near future.
