Later this summer, Pixar is releasing “Inside Out 2” in cinemas around the world, and viewers will return to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who’ve long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren’t sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she’s not alone.

The new emotion, Anxiety, will be played by Maya Hawke.  The cast also includes Amy Poehler as Joy, Phyllis Smith as Sadness, Lewis Black as Anger, Tony Hale as Fear, and Liza Lapira as Disgust.

Variety has revealed that June Squibb is also going to star in “Inside Out 2”, though it’s unknown what character she is going to be playing.  June has previously starred in many Disney films, including “Soul”, “Toy Story 4”, and “Ralph Breaks The Internet”, plus the animated series, “Solar Opposites”.

The 93-year-old actress has starred in many films and shows over her seven-decade career, including “Modern Family”, “Glee”, “Grey’s Anatomy” and many more.

“Inside Out 2” is directed by Kelsey Mann and produced by Mark Nielsen, “Inside Out 2” will be released only in cinemas in the Summer of 2024 before heading to Disney+ later this year following a theatrical and digital release window.
