Recently, it was revealed that FX was developing a brand new limited series called “Dying For Sex”, which is based on the hit Wondery podcast, “Dying For Sex” is the story of a woman diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer who leaves her husband of 15 years and begins to explore her sexuality. She gets the courage and support to go on this adventure from her best friend, Nikki, who stays by her side all the way to the very end.

The new series is going to star Michelle Williams, who will play the lead role, and she will also be a producer on the FX show.

Deadline has revealed that Jenny Slate is going to star in the series and will be playing the role of Nikki, who is joyful and life-affirming. She agrees to be Molly’s caretaker on her journey of sexual exploration in the face of death.

Jenny Slate has previously starred in “Marcel the Shell With Shoes On”, which she also co-wrote and co-produced. Jenny has also starred in “Everything Everywhere All At Once”, “Bob’s Burgers” and “Muppet Babies”. will be seen next in her new Amazon Prime Video comedy special, “Jenny Slate: Seasoned Professional”.

This brand-new series will be created by Liz Meriwether (The Dropout) and Kim Rosenstock (Only Murders in the Building), who will be writing, show running and executive producing the show. Other executive producers include Leslye Headland (Acolyte), Katherine Pope, and Nikki Boyer, who is the host and co-creator of the Dying For Sex podcast, and Wondery Inc.

As with other FX series, expect this series to be released on FX, along with Disney’s streaming services, Hulu, Star+ and Disney+ around the world.
