Marvel Studios is currently filming the upcoming third “Deadpool” film in London, in which, Ryan Reynolds returns as the Merc with a Mouth, along with Hugh Jackman returning as Wolverine. We don’t have any information about what the plot for the third Deadpool film is yet, but it’s expected that the Multiverse will play a major part in the storyline, which will lead to Deadpool coming into the core Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The film is going to have a huge amount of actors from previous Marvel films, that are outside the Marvel Cinematic Universe, that will be returning to our screens, including Brianna Hildebrand, Shioli KutsunaKaran Soni, Rob Delaney, Leslie Uggams, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic. This is in addition to the film starring “The Crown‘s” Emma Corrin and “Succession‘s” Matthew Macfadyen.

According to THR, Jennifer Garner is going to be returning as Elektra, who she played in 20th Century Fox’s “Daredevil” film from 2023, which starred Ben Affleck as the Man Without Fear. She also played the same character in the “Electra” spin-off film. Her return as Elektra, continues to indicate the film will involve Deadpool jumping around the multiverses, meeting up with different characters from the past.

Shawn Levy will be directing “Deadpool 3” and previously worked with Jennifer Garner, on the Netflix film, “The Adam Project”, which also starred Ryan Reynolds. The new film was written by Paul Wernick & Rhett Reese. Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige will be a producer on the film, along with Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds.

“Deadpool 3” is currently scheduled to be released on May 3rd, 2024, and it will be the first rated-R film from Marvel Studios. The first film was the top-grossing R-rated film ever. The first two “Deadpool” films, along with “Logan”, are available to stream now on Disney+. And “Daredevil” and “Elektra” are also available to stream on Disney+ in some countries.
