Production on the third season of “Star Wars: The Mandalorian” is currently underway in Southern California, and according to THR, Christopher Lloyd has joined the cast of the Disney+ Original series.

The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.

No details have been revealed on what character Christopher Lloyd will be playing, but it is being billed as a guest appearance. Since this is a Star Wars project, we will be unlikely to know what character Christopher Lloyd will be playing until the episode has been released on Disney+.

Christopher Lloyd has previously starred in the “Back To The Future” films, along with “Taxi” and “Star Trek III: Search For Spock”.
“The Mandalorian” stars Pedro Pascal and features guest stars including Gina Carano, Carl Weathers and Giancarlo Esposito. Showrunner Jon Favreau serves as executive producer along with Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson, with Karen Gilchrist and Carrie Beck serving as co-executive producers.

Filming on the third season of “The Mandalorian” is expected to be ending soon, before filming begins on “Ahsoka” in April.
No Disney+ release date for the third season of “The Mandalorian” has yet been confirmed.
The first two seasons of “The Mandalorian” are available to watch now on Disney+.
