One of the first original shows announced for Disney+ was a prequel to “Rogue One” called “Star Wars: Andor”.

The nail-biting spy thriller has been created by Tony Gilroy, and it will see Diego Luna, reprising the role of rebel spy Cassian Andor.  He will be joined by Stellan Skarsgård, Adria Arjona, Fiona Shaw, Denise Gough, Kyle Soller and Genevieve O’Reilly, who will be returning as Mon Mothma.

Filming on the upcoming “Rogue One” prequel “Star Wars: Andor” is currently underway in England and according to some recent reports, some of the main characters from “Rogue One” will be returning to our screens.

According to The Direct, Ben Mendelsohn, will be returning to play the role of Director Krennic and Industry insider Daniel RPK also revealed that Forest Whitaker will be returning to our screens as Saw Gerrera.

Neither of these returns have yet been confirmed by Disney.

“Star Wars: Andor” is set to arrive on Disney+ in 2022.
