During today’s FX presentation at the Summer Press tour for the Television Critics Association, it was announced that FX has renewed “American Horror Stories” for a second season.

The first season is currently being released weekly on Hulu in the United States and is coming to a number of countries around the world including the UK and Canada as a Star Original on Disney+.

“American Horror Stories” is a spin-off of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s award-winning hit anthology series “American Horror Story”. “American Horror Stories” is a weekly anthology series that will feature a different horror story each episode.

Since 2011, the creators of the AHS have redefined the horror genre with various instalments featuring a creepy asylum, a coven of witches, a travelling freak show, a haunted hotel and the apocalypse itself. The television series sprouted a legion of dedicated fans who anticipate what terrors the next chapter will hold. Twentieth Television produces the franchise.

The series is executive produced by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Alexis Martin Woodall, John J. Gray and Manny Coto.

According to FX, “American Horror Stories”  was the most successful launch of any FX on Hulu series to date.

The second season will be coming to Hulu and Star On Disney+ in 2022.
