Disney will be releasing the first season of the National Geographic Wild show, Alaska Animal Rescue, onto Disney+ in the United States on Friday 14th August.  These episodes aired originally on Nat Geo Wild channel in May.

Team up with Alaskan heroes as they rescue, rehabilitate, research, and celebrate the wild animals of America’s last frontier. Representing three renowned conservation centers, these animal lovers work by land, sea, and air – in one of the most challenging places on our planet – to protect Alaska’s wildlife.

The first season consists of 6 episodes:

Fly Like An Eagle

She’s not just a vet for the Alaska Raptor Center. Dr. Vic is also a member of the fire department. She climbs a 75-foot ladder to rescue a bald eagle skewered through the wing. It’ll take all her know-how to bring this eagle back from near death.

Seal Pup Voyage

It’s spring in Alaska, and stranded harbor seals, fighting bald eagles, and an ornery wood bison bull create new challenges for the teams.

The Naughty Otter

Our Alaskan conservation heroes have their hands full. With an orphaned newborn sea otter pup, a young bald eaglet that’s fallen from its nest, and rescued foxes preparing for a habitat upgrade, nobody’s getting much rest.

Fire & Furry

A rescued sea otter pup narrowly escapes one wildfire, while another presents a problem for a very unique owl. An expedition to see wild wood bison is threatened as a heat wave complicates the breeding herd.

Wolf Watch

An unexplained injury shakes up the wolf pack, a mystery shark from the deep arrives at the Sealife Center, and a one-eyed eagle needs serious help.

Stinky Business

A raven falls in fish guts, a seal swims through a fuel spill, and a keeper dives headfirst into a filthy moose pond. Animal rescue in Alaska isn’t always a pleasant, or pleasant smelling, business!
