More details on the upcoming “Hocus Pocus” sequel have been revealed by Variety.

The new movie will be a Disney+ Original and will be directed by Adam Shankman.

It will be a sequel to 1993’s “Hocus Pocus” and not a reboot. It has been written by “Workaholics” writer and co-producer Jen D’Angelo. With Lynn Harris producing the movie.

No details on when production will begin in the series and it would seem likely to be a movie released around Halloween, so I’d personally say this might be a stretch to get the movie released this year, especially with adding special effects. But hopefully we will have some official information soon.

The original Hocus Pocus movie is available now on Disney+.
