Disney’s ABC is developing a brand new single-camera comedy called “Relatable” that has been inspired by the life of Alanis Morissete, who is best known for her 1995 album “Jagged Little Pill,” which has sold over 30 million copies and inspired the Broadway musical of the same name.

Alanis Morissete will be writing the theme song to the series and will also be an executive producer for the show.

This new series is going to be created by Elizabeth Beckwith and Christopher Moynihan.  They will both be executive producers on the series, with Elizabethth Beckwith is writing the pilot and Christopher Moynihan will be the showrunner on the series. Beckwith has worked with Disney on ABC’s “The Goldbergs” and “Speechless”, while Moynihan has previously worked on “Night School” and “Marlon.”

Also executive producing the series are Willie Mercer, Ron West and Jonathan Daniel.  20th Television will be producing the show, so we should expect to see the show on ABC and Hulu in the US, with a release internationally on Disney+.
