When Disney+ launches on November 12th in the US, there are some recent Marvel movies that won’t be available on day one, this is due to an existing contract with Netflix, which effects movies released between 2016 and 2018.

Generally, anything Marvel Studios have released in 2018 won’t be available on Disney+ straight away, so the majority of titles won’t be effected, here is a rundown of what Marvel movies won’t be on Disney+ at launch and when they leave Netflix:

Thor: Ragnarok December 6th, 2019
Black Panther March 4th, 2020
Avengers: Infinity War June 25th, 2020
Ant-Man and the Wasp July 29th, 2020

Other non-Marvel Studios films that won’t be included are Spider-Man: Far From Home and X-Men: Dark Phoenix.  This is because Fox had an existing deal with HBO and Sony has a deal with Starz.  However, Sony Animation has a deal with Netflix, so Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse will continue to be available on Netflix.

These deals will all eventually expire, so until then, its just confusing for Marvel fans to find all their favorite movies.
