Recently, actress Elizabeth Olsen revealed that the new Marvel Disney+ Original series, WandaVision, will be set in the 1950’s, leading many to speculate over how this could happen, especially since Thanos killed Vision at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.

We’ve already seen time travel used in Avengers: Endgame, but there is another way this show could recreate the 1950’s and its all down to the Scarlet Witch’s superpowers.  As while these powers haven’t been explored in the movies, in the comic books.

According to Murphy’s Law Podcast’s Charles Murphy, “I’ve heard that as this show unfolds, it’s going to find Wanda really starting to come into her power set and that the reality-altering powers from the comic are going to make their way into MCU.”

Using Scarlet Witch’s reality-altering powers to create an alternative universe which could take inspiration from many comic book stories, which saw her make a life in the 1950’s where she was married to Vision and they had children together.

The new WandaVision show is due to go into production this Fall and will be coming to Disney+ in it’s second year of operation, (late 2020/2021).
