During last weeks quarterly results call, Disney CEO Bob Iger announced that a new documentary series that shares a behind the scenes look at Walt Disney Imagineering will be coming to Disney+.

Bob Iger said that this series will include “stories we’ve never really told before and images we have never shared.”  It’s explained that the series will give us “a rare look inside the usually secretive organization.”

Disney has been working on a new feature documentary called “The Imagineering Story,” which has been in development for several years and was even shown off during a preview at the 2013 D23 Expo.  However it was never released, so could this footage be part of the new show.

Here is a preview of this documentary from 2013:

This show will be a huge draw for die-hard Disney fans and fits in nicely with the new streaming platform on many levels, especially as Walt Disney used to promote the Theme Parks during his Wonderful World shows.
