Back when Disney+ was announced in November, the official website launched, showing off the major brands that will be the cornerstone of the new streaming service including Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars.  One of the other major brands is National Geographic, which had a little * next to the logo, with a disclaimer note on the bottom of the page stating it was subject to the purchase of 21st Century Fox.  Because had the 21st Century Fox purchase been delayed or had fallen through, this content wouldn’t be on Disney+.

After 5 months, the official website has finally been updated.   The * and disclaimer have now been removed, following the competition of Disney’s purchase of 21st Century Fox.  Plus the color of the logo was changed to match the other brands.

With the disclaimer now removed, National Geographic is confirmed to be part of Disney+.

With Disney set to unveil more details on Disney+ during an Investors Day event on April 11th, we should hopefully get more confirmation of what content will be coming to Disney+, in addition to more details on its launch date and price.

Are you excited for National Geographic content to be part of Disney+ ?
