Ever since Disney announced it was creating a new streaming service back in November 2017, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed during a quarterly earnings report conference call, that the new service would include a series based on Pixar’s Monsters Inc.

We heard nothing more on this series until this past quarterly results report conference call, where Disney announced the streaming service would be called Disney Plus.

Bob Iger confirmed the series would be coming to Disney Plus and that it will reportedly continue the story of the previous films, Monsters Inc and Monsters University.

This Monsters Inc series will be made at Disney Television Animation group and will be the second collaboration between the Disney Television Animation and Pixar Animation Studios since the Toy Story spinoff show, Buzz Lightyear Of The Star Command.

Very little is known about the Monsters Inc series at the moment, but hopefully we will find out more in 2019.

Are you excited for a new series based on characters from Monsters Inc?
