Disney is set to start officially marketing its new streaming platform, Disney+, later this month.  The first main advertising push will begin at the D23 Expo, which takes place 24th to the 26th of August in Anaheim, California.  Which will allow guests of the show and D23 members at home, to be the first to sign up and subscribe to Disney+.

And during the Walt Disney Companies Third Quarterly Financial Results conference call, Disney CEO Bob Iger revealed that the Disney+ launch is considered to be the most important launch in Disney’s history.

They will be using every different contact point with consumers to inform them about the new streaming service, including Television, Theme Parks, Cruise Lines and much more.

Bob Iger also said that they will be D23 members, Theme Park Annual Passholders and Disney Credit Card holders will all be contacted about Disney+.

He also said he will be in meetings next week to confirm the marketing plans for Disney+.
