Captain America actor Chris Evans is set to hang up the shield at the end of Avengers: Endgame, when his Marvel contract expires.  But this might not be the end of his Marvel career as according to a new rumor from Jim Hill Media, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has supposedly offered him the opportunity to direct a few episodes of those limited series that Marvel Studios is prepping for Disney +.

With multiple Marvel series currently in development for Disney+, including Loki, Vision & Scarlet Witch and Winter Solider & Falcon.   Chris Evans has worked with both Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan on multiple Captain America and Avenger movies, so seeing him working on the Winter Solider & Falcon show would make more sense.

This could be a way of giving Chris Evans other projects to work on as he has been vocal in the past about wanting to step behind the camera as a director.  Chris Evans has previously directed the independent romantic drama film “Before We Go”.

Chris Evans might still pick up the Shield again though, since Infinity War director Joe Russo “he’s not done yet.” He wouldn’t elaborate and has told audiences to wait and see to understand what he meant.   But it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Chris Evans offered some directing duties to sweeten the deal to stay ready for the Avengers to Assemble again.

Again, its worth noting that this is just a rumor and nothing has been officially confirmed.

Do you think Chris Evans is going to direct some future Disney+ shows?
