Today, 21st Century Fox Announced that it has completed its sale to Disney and will become effective at 12:02 a.m. Eastern Time tomorrow, March 20th 2019.

This will bring major brands like National Geographic, Aliens, Predator, Die Hard, The Simpsons, Star India, FX, FoxNext and many more, into the Walt Disney Company.

Back in November, Disney revealed that National Geographic will be one of the pillar brands for the upcoming streaming service, Disney+.

On the official Disney+ website, it states that National Geographic is “Subject to availability and closing 21CF transaction”.

Now the deal is complete, National Geographic Content will be on the new streaming platform.  It’s not yet clear if other 21st Century Fox properties will be on Disney+, such as The Simpsons, Family Guy, Modern Family and family movies like Home Alone, The Kid Who Would Be King and others.  Hopefully we will get confirmation soon.
